Accessibility statement

Draft accessibility statement for I-PLAY: WCAG 2.1 AA compliance status, measures, known limitations, feedback and enforcement.

Draft pending review. This statement follows the model required by EU Directive 2016/2102. It must be confirmed by the consortium after the next external accessibility audit.

ABARKA ONGD is committed to making this website accessible, in line with EU Directive 2016/2102 and the harmonised standard EN 301 549 (WCAG 2.1 level AA).

Compliance status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA: the site was built and tested against level AA, and automated testing currently reports no violations, but some third-party and user-uploaded content has not yet been fully verified.

Measures taken

  • Semantic HTML, landmarks, one main heading per page and a visible skip link.
  • Full keyboard operation and clearly visible focus indicators.
  • Text and interface contrast checked against AA (and 7:1 in high-contrast mode).
  • A site-wide accessibility panel: text size, spacing, dyslexia-friendly fonts, contrast and colour-blindness modes, reading guides, reduced motion and text-to-speech.
  • Content in four languages with an English fallback notice, and alt text required on every image before publication.

Known limitations

  • Some PDF resources produced by partners may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers. Accessible alternatives are available on request.
  • Embedded third-party videos may lack captions or audio description in all four languages; captioning is being added progressively.
  • Automated translation is never used, but newly published content can appear in English before the other languages are ready.
